You fell in love with your partner, enjoyed the heady first days of the relationship, but things have changed. Staying in love is difficult. Your relationship isn't what it was or you want, you "can't seem to get it right", or even start. The "happily ever after" fairy tale has soured.
Please know you can reauthor your story - you know life is not a fairy tale, but you should know the real tale is far more interesting. Therapy is not about being broken, sick or wrong. It's about growth, courage and moving forward.
You can learn practical skills to put yourself in an authentic loving relationship which includes passion and intimacy as well as caring and communication.
It is exciting and joyful to discover your feelings for each other once again.
It is also easy and natural to use a medium you are already familiar with - your computer. Video counseling with Kim is quick, easy, and helpful as well as efficient and fun.
Why do people choose video counseling?
Video-counseling is a solution:
- To distance driving, traffic and high gas prices.
- If one or both of you travel often or unexpectedly.
- If a couples' counselor is a distance from you.
- If you and your partner have conflicting schedules.
- If you live in a rural area where mental healthcare is far or unavailable.
- If you cannot afford/find a babysitter.
- If you have difficultly expressing yourself due to fears or phobias.
E-counseling:
- Insures a safe, comfortable environment
- Allows you to begin using skills immediately
- Is time effective and cost efficient

I want you to be assured you are working with a professional. I am a licensed professional counselor (NJ license #PC 0437) and am nationally certified and registered (ATCB registration #99-087). Watch the video to the right to learn what all the letters after my name mean. You can verify my license here.
I am happy being a counselor - it is what I am. I am a counselor because of who I am; I'm not who I am because I am a counselor.
I love to travel, so I decided to offer online and phone counseling to people like me - travelers. Offering online and phone counseling has allowed me to work with clients internationally, as widely spaced as Singapore and the East coast of the USA. I especially like working with ex-pats because it helps them have a touch of the familiar.
One thing I love about my work is the chance to teach easy and quick skills to people. I also enjoy public speaking, as it allows me the opportunity to teach many individuals on an array of topics.

Actually, I was supposed to be a physical therapist. It seemed to me as the most fitting occupation – I loved helping people, was athletic, and my father was a physical therapist – It was meant to be. I went to PT school and scored average grades. Unfortunately, for the PT department, average wasn’t good enough; I was in danger of being dropped from the program.
It should have been devastating news, but I had a plan!
You see, I really wanted to be a different type of therapist… a psychotherapist. I had secretly chosen my PT school because the Psychology Department offered a reputable Psychotherapy degree I wanted to minor in. As my original plan of becoming a PT began to fade, I could now change my major to psychotherapy.
However, there was one problem – my father. He truly wanted me to be a physical therapist. I would be following in his foot steps, making good money, and always have a job. And, in his mind, psychology was one step down from voodoo!
I knew better. I knew I would be happier (and therefore better) as a psychotherapist. I’d rather be a really good counselor than a merely average PT. I also knew if I did what I really liked, I’d make a place for myself and support myself just fine.
So, I did it, I changed my major. It wasn’t easy, Dad was not happy, but I knew it would all work out. It did. Somewhere along the line my father told me he was proud of me. However, I don’t think he ever understood psychology, but at least I never had to dress up like a voodoo witch doctor!
That’s why I’m here for you, because I want to be. I risked family shunning, lack of financial success, and extended schooling to be here. I believe in what I do and how it helps - counseling isn't about being broken or sick, it is about courage, growth, and learning.
"I really think I have helped many people with what you have taught me. "

Why Counseling?
Counseling is not about being broken, sick or wrong. It's about growth, courage and moving forward
Why E-Counseling?
It encompasses all aspects of in-office sessions and it allows you to receive counseling in a familiar and safe environment. In the comfort of your own home or even when you are in different countries, I can help you and your partner develop the skills needed to create a rewarding relationship.
It is the most private and intimate of all the online e-counseling mediums.
Availability is a great benefit of e-counseling Scheduling and rescheduling sessions is easier and more flexible because we are not confined to office hours. Meeting with me is as simple as turning on your computer; which is great if you are traveling unexpectedly and imperative if you are in crisis. It is great for couples divided by physical distance or business travel.
Ultimately, E--counseling is a convenient solution for all of us.
How does video counseling work?
Video-counseling online is the most effective, state of the art online counseling medium available. In addition, important nonverbal communication is available through video-counseling. You will experience a live two-way audiovisual therapy session.
Video-counseling allows you to see and hear me as if you we were in the same room!
You choose the video-conferencing software you are most comfortable using (Skype, AIM, Yahoo Messenger, Google Chat, etc.) We chose a time to meet, and we link through the ease of technology.
Is it confidential?
Yes-- my first priority is your confidentiality . Just like going to the doctor or therapist’s office, all you say in your sessions stays between us.
Before our sessions begin, I will speak with you about how to secure your computer and emails in order to avoid others accessing the information we share. Your information is also protected on my computer. I am the only person that uses my computer and employ multiple encryption and firewall software.
(Like any other therapy session, I am required by law to release information in certain situations. Please talk to me about these caveats.)
Do you offer other options?
Yes, I have a physical office for in person sessions and I also offer phone counseling If you are concerned about your phone usage, phone sessions through online connections can save you valuable time and cell phone minutes.
